In 2003 they bought the old customs house by the railway station and began renovating the old and worn down building. To raise money they decided to run a youth hostel at the same time in the premises, and at the turn of the year 2004-2005 hotel Rallaren was ready. Today it has 40 beds in twelve rooms and three Lávvus. During the time of the renovation, Janne had also been to a travel exhibition in London where he established connections with a sales company. The sales company liked the fact that Janne and Kirsi could offer a concept with a smaller, personal hotel and Sámi experiences. Together with their staff, Janne and Kirsi work hard to transform an old school (Norrmalmsskolan) to Hotel Arctic Eden. 32 comfortable rooms are ready.
